The Board of Education sets policy for the operation of our Lutheran Elementary School and monitors the work of the called principal and teachers. It meets regularly to discuss all matters related to the Lutheran Elementary School. It monitors and assists, through the athletic director and Principal, in the establishment of an interscholastic and intramural extra-curricular program. The Board also supervises Immanuel's Tuition Assistance program. Further, it prepares annual budget recommendations for those items of the congregation’s business for which it is responsible.

Mr. David Uhlhorn - Chairman
Mr. Tim Klein - Secretary
Keeps written records of all meetings of the Board. Reviews all school and teacher evaluations at year end and prepares summary documents for review process. Coordinates replacement of outgoing board members. Works with congregation on special fundraising events.
Mr. Gordy Zastrow - School Property and Athletic Coordinator
Insures proper maintenance of school buildings and grounds in coordination with the church Property Committee. Liaison to Immanuel's Athletic Association (IAA) and Immanuel's Athletic Director. Helps coordinate volunteers for extra-curricular activities, as needed (athletics, play, concerts, etc.).
Mr. Bjorn Hansen - Preschool Committee and Before/After School Care Coordinator
Coordinates and chairs Preschool Committee meetings. Promotes preschool to families in our congregation and works with church Evangelism Committee to promote our preschool in the community. Serves as contact for preschool parents to help transition students to Immanuel's grade school. Oversees school Aftercare/Beforecare programs.
Mr. Tom Dewane - Staff, Parent, and MLHS Representative
Serves as liaison to the parent-teacher organization (PIE) and works with the principal to coordinate school staff professional growth opportunities. Coordinates promotion of school and its activities to parents and in the community. Represents Immanuel at Manitowoc Lutheran High School delegate and federation meetings, and assists with the management of the MLHS tuition assistance fund at Immanuel.
Mr. Jamie Roecker - Principal
Prepares an agenda for meetings of the Board in consultation with the school principal and conducts all regular and special meetings of the Board. Works with the principal to manage and distribute the Immanuel Tuition Assistance Fund. Serves as spokesman of the Board of Education.
