We welcomed Pastor Bowe and his family to Immanuel in September 2022, to serve as our School and Family Pastor alongside Pastor Zimpelmann. Pastor Bowe most recently served in Oklahoma City for five years, and prior to that in Waupaca, Wis. He grew up in Colorado and Wisconsin, and his college studies included one year at the University of Wisconsin before transferring to Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn, from which he graduated with a bachelors degree in Biblical Languages in 2007.  He then received his Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2011.

Paul and his wife, Erica, have four children. They enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and exploring, and Pastor also enjoys sports, especially baseball, football, and basketball.

Pastor Bowe notes, “We are thrilled to be joining you here in Manitowoc! I look forward to beginning here as your pastor, serving alongside Pastor Zimpelmann, and with Principal David Wilson and the school staff and Immanuel’s church leaders. To God alone be the glory for the ministry He has given us here!”

The Zimpelmanns have been living in the Lakeshore area since September of 2020. Pastor Z has more than 20 years of experience serving, equipping, and partnering with God's gifted believers across the country (he has served congregations in Nebraska, Idaho, and now Manitowoc). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Languages from Martin Luther College and a Master of Divinity degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.

Matt, Gina, and their three children love the beauty and natural resources of the area, but it's the people here, says Pastor Zimpelman, which are the most enjoyable aspect of life here in Manitowoc. "We've found this community to be such a welcoming one. Meeting people, learning their stories and how God has or hasn't yet intersected with their lives continues to be a tremendous pleasure. I pray I'll get the chance to meet you soon!"
