Mr. Gast has over 35 years of teaching experience since graduating from (Dr.) Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minn. in 1987 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in History. Before coming to Immanuel in 2004, Guy previously served as upper grades teacher at Bethany Lutheran School in Kenosha, Wis., Grace Lutheran School in Glendale, Ariz., and St. Peter Lutheran School in Ft. Collins, Colo., where he was also principal.

Guy and his wife, Kathy, have four children: Kerin lives in Appleton with her husband, Zachary, and children; Nik works in Minnesota; Zak and his wife, Jenessa, work in health care in the Milwaukee area; and Karis is a Lutheran grade school teacher; she and her husband, Spencer, work and live in Las Vegas, Nevada.
